  Anton Filipenko was born on August 9th 1943 in Odessa region. In 1972 graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 1976 obtained Ph.D. in economics, in 1987 - Doctor of Economics. Since 1975 Anton Filipenko works at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where he started as assistaint and made to professor. In 1984-88 acted as a Deputy of the Chair of International Relations and International Law faculty at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, while in 1988-1990 chaired the faculty.
